A Halloween cat made of big round hay bales looks more scared than scary. The work of art, created by Terry and Dennis Klenda, can be seen along Remington Road in the yard at the Klenda residence in Pilsen.

Stan Utting, manager of Agri Producers, Inc., said a pile of milo at a site west of Tampa currently holds 150,000 to 160,000 bushels. Harvest is about 95 percent complete and yields range for 60 to 120 bushels per acre.

Marion High School students Matt Shuler, Amy Goentzel, Merissa Riggs, Dainne Shipman, Braxton Skiles, Becky Taylor, Stacia Williams, and Maggie Powers were named Thursday to the National Honor Society. Induction ceremonies are scheduled for Monday at Kingfisher’s Inn.

Jan Moffitt, R.N., Marion, began work Oct. 1 as Marion County Health Administrator. She and her husband, Frank, moved to Marion from Tampa in 1990.
