Marion City Commission again postponed a decision concerning annexation of Pearl Baxter’s land east of Pizza Hut.
More than 200 bricks have been sold through Marion City Library fundraising efforts, but another 200 are needed to complete the plaza that will hold the bricks.
This year only two members of the “Last Member Club” of the 1927 class of Marion High School attended the reunion of the class. They were Winifred Nelson Conyers and Margaret Richardson Wolf. The club will continue to meet as long as at least two are able to attend.
An estimated 35,000 people visited Marion’s Central Park Saturday to attend the 22nd annual Art in the Park.
Former Kansas Senator Nancy Kassebaum Baker will give the keynote address at the seventh annual Marion County Women’s Wellness Workshop to be held Nov. 4 at Marion Elementary School.
Harry and Theodora Koslowsky were very pleased to have all their children spend the Labor Day weekend with them. Present were Jeanne Brooks of Orlando, Fla.; Jim, Marlene, Peter, and Emily Koslowsky of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa; and John Koslowsky of Wichita.
