Homecoming candidates for fall of 2000 are Kelly Becker, Heather Tajchman, Amanda Fruechting, Heath Tajchman, Steven Janzen, and Jamey Cooper. The homecoming ceremony will take place Friday night during halftime of the Marion-Chase County football game.

Ben Meier, 91, former mayor of Marion, died Sept. 20, 2000, at Cedar Creek Living Center in Norman, Okla.
