The Kentucky HeadHunters, a band that brought rock into country full force, will headline the Chingawassa Days concert series June 3. Opening acts include Reckless, an Oklahoma band that brought the crowd to its feet during a music contest in Marion, and Dark Horse, a rock group featuring Marion native J.W. Goering. A local band probably will play as well.

The Marion High School students have been selected to attend American Legion Boys’ State June 4-10. Blake Conyers, Mark Hanson, and Ryan Thomas will spend that week at Kansas State University with other students from throughout Kansas.

Hoefer’s Custom Stained Glass, South Hutchinson, this week, completed installing 18 stained glass windows at Holy Family Catholic Church in Marion. The windows replace the original windows of acrylic panels.

Births announced in this issue included a son, Payton Harold, born April 7 to Mark and Kim Harms of Lincolnville; a daughter, Allison Nicole born April 20 to Don and Robyn Molleker of Marion; and twins daughters, Julia Anne and Jenna Rose, born April 18 to Jeff and Joan Nightengale of Florence.
