An anonymous donor has provided a $10,000 cash gift to Marion City Library’s depot renovation project. The donor does not wish for any recognition, but believes strongly in the project to remodel the former depot into an expanded city library.

Scouts Andrew Brookens, Matt Rhodes, Clayton Chamberland, Justin Brookens, Chris Byer, and Jack Branson left Friday to spend a week on the waters in Quetico Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Adult leaders Bob Brookens and Rick Branson are accompanying them.

Kiwanis Club of Marion on Monday presented its first-ever Tablet of Honor to longtime active member Alex Case. Table of Honor recipients are listed on an accolade at Kiwanis International headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind.
