Marion City Commission agreed Monday to fund a feasibility study to determine if an assisted living facility can be located in Marion.

The MHS delegation was in Washington as part of trip planned long before Sept. 11, an occurrence that saw the trip, originally expecting to draw 250 to 300 students, dwindle to 50 participants.

Robert and Pauline Edmunds will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 29 with a reception at Valley United Methodist Church.

Bernice Brewer’s home at 323 S. Third Street has been nominated by Cheryl Silhan as the outstanding holiday-decorated home of the week. The home features angels, snowmen, Christmas trees, a sleigh, moving lights, and Santa Claus.

The third birthday of Devin Regnier was celebrated Sunday at with a family gathering at the home of his parents, Doug and Michele Regnier of rural Marion.

Danielle Steel, a Centre High School student, recently gave a $60 donation from the Marion County Youth Team to the Red Cross. The money was raised through sale of red, white, and blue pins Steel created after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
