Marion City Commission, on Monday, said they were interested in re-installing the lighting of the path on the Central Park nature trail if other groups would help in providing funding.

Candidates for the 2003 Marion High School King and Queen of Courts are Megan Moore, Krista Zogelman, Kayla Barrett, Jarvis Whiteman, Jake Adkins, and Matt Rhodes.

Arlene Kleinschmidt will have her collection of valentines on display at the Marion City Library through Friday. Next on display will be a collection of Barbie dolls to honor the date the first Barbie was invented in 1959.

Marion High School dance team recently conducted a dance camp for junior high and elementary students. Pictured performing Feb. 4 at the MHS-Centre varsity game is the team of Katie Whitaker, Nikki Moody, Emily Hett, Megan Helmstead, Macy Hess, and Whitney Wear.

A dozen American Bald Eagles were spotted by a keen observer Tuesday near the lookout point on the west end of the dam at Marion Reservoir.

The Conference of United Methodist churches has assigned Rick Branson of Marion to a position of associate pastor at Eastmoor United Methodist Church and pastor of Burdick UMC.
