Steve Kill, agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services in Marion, has been named to the 2002 Farm Bureau Premier Club. He also has earned the One and One-Half Million Club and was a Market Manager Triple Crown winner.

Landon Eli Roberts, born Feb. 3, is the “Beary Special Baby” delivered this month at St. Luke Hospital.

Kansas Department of Transportation recently presented a 10-year service pin to Rick Lange. He is an equipment mechanic at the area office in Marion.

Allen and Leona Funk of Hillsboro will be honored with an open house Sunday in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.

Phillip Hartfield, a 20-year law enforcement veteran, and Josh Whitwell, a 22-year-old rookie, both joined the Marion Police Department within the past couple of months.

Senior Heidi Zogelman, daughter of Nick and Sharon Zogelman of Florence and Junior Tyler Stubenhofer, son of Missy and Steve May of Marion, have been named students of the month at Marion High School.

Ken Nienstedt of rural Marion will entertain Burdick seniors March 14 with his program, “Poems in Rhyme.”
