Hoch Publishing Co., Inc., president Bill Meyer was inducted into the Kansas Newspaper Hall of Fame Friday at a recognition banquet at the Overland Park Marriott.

Engagements announced include those of Heidi Michelle Doyle and Charles Richard Maggard to be married June 12 and Carri Ann Lindstrom and Eric Wayne Thies to marry June 19.

Students of Anita Hancock will perform in a piano recital Sunday at Marion City Auditorium. Students participating are Melissa Carlson, Robin, Samantha, and Nicholas Davies, Kari Druse, Isaac Guetersloh, Rachel Hall, Lexie Kruse, Megan Overton, Taylor Harms, Mitchell and Ben Leppke, Cara Martin, Erin Meierhoff, and Chelsea and Bret Voth.
