He returned to the states early this month and is visiting his aunt and uncle, Rex and Carolyn Savage of Florence.

Marion City Library has received an award for excellence of history preservation by Kansas Preservation Alliance, Inc., for the preservation of historic Santa Fe Depot. A cast bronze medallion was presented to the library board April 29.

Former Marion High School students graduating this year from Kansas State University are Christopher Lee Bowers, Kadon Kyle Hodson, Jill Renee Vinduska, and Camille Theresa Wessel.

Daniel Mikolajcak of Slovakia, international exchange student at Centre, who lives with the Ronnie Carlson family of Lincolnville, was winner in the contest to create a new logo for St. Luke Hospital. The prize was to be a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, but since Mikolajcak is returning to Slovakia this summer, he received a check for $250, the cost of the $500 bond.
