Two women, Karin Lovik and Leah Patterson from the Tampa, Fla., area visited Tampa this weekend and had a very Kansas experience. They got stuck in the mud. The two women were visiting Tampa on an exchange visit between the two Tampas. Jim and Mary Clemmer traveled to Florida.
Crowned Centre High School’s 2005 Winter Homecoming king and queen on Friday were Justin Garrard, son of John and Sandra Garrard, and Brianne Stahlecker, daughter of Alan and Sheri Stahlecker.
The births of two sets of twins are announced in this issue. The babies are Ta’Leah and Shae’Lynn Stegman born Dec. 17 and Caden Daniel and Carley Paige Wilhelm born Feb. 11. Other births announced were those of Tanner Mishelle Plett, born Feb. 1, and Blake Eugene Ecklund, born Feb. 2.
Wrestler Casey Nelson is the Marion County Record “Athlete of the Week.” Nelson, a junior at MHS, claimed the league title in the 152-pound weight class at the MCAA tournament in Hoisington. He is the first ever individual to win an MCAA title for Marion.
