Jim and Violet Richmond, owners of Marion Lumber Co., Inc., announce this week the business will close its doors. A cornerstone of business in this community, Marion Lumber has been open for more than 40 years. The Richmonds plan to retire.
Harry and Theodora Koslowsky will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 17 at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Members of the Lincolnville High School class of 1955 who attended a 50-year reunion June 4 were JoAnn (Svoboda) Nowak, MaryAnn (Miller) Biehler, Karen (Symes) Patton, Rodney Beneke, John Svoboda, Lloyd Sklenar, Robert Jirak, and Kenneth Nienstedt.
More than 350 hours of donated time has provided a general spruce-up of the Aulne church building and grounds.
Former pupils and teachers from Phillips District #9, Grapes District #54, and Youngtown District #61 attended the 15th country school reunion Sunday at Marion Senior Center. The Adams family hosted the event which included a carry-in dinner, business meeting, and a time for visiting.
Jayson Hanschu, Hillsboro, an agent of American Family Insurance, recently was named and All American Agent by American Family Insurance group. Hanschu has been an agent with American Family Insurance since September 1998.
