The weather was nearly perfect Saturday for the annual Art in the Park arts and crafts fair in Central Park. Thousands strolled the shaded areas to view and purchase a variety of craft items.

Michael Brookens and Emalee Versch were crowned king and queen Friday evening prior to the Marion High School game with Sterling. Tad Remy and Ashley Griffith were crowned king and queen during the half of Centre’s homecoming with Hope.

Marion National Bank celebrated its 100th year of business Thursday with an open house. On display was the original document when the bank was chartered and franchised Sept. 15, 1905.

Announcements of upcoming celebrations of 50th wedding anniversaries included the following: Ralph and Wanda Richmond, Dennis and Dorothy Youk, and Jim and Donna Fruechting, all of Marion, and Kenneth and Anita Rigler of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Marion County Record’s Athlete of the Week is Josh Kelsey. The senior quarterback, notched 84 yards Friday, both on the ground and in the air, in a 34-13 victory against Sterling.

Michaela Regnier was guest of honor at a family party at the home of her parents, Doug and Michelle Regnier, Sept. 19 to celebrate her 5th birthday.
