The fourth annual Ride for Kids will be held Saturday at Central Park.

Daryl and Pat Enos will appear on Hatteberg’s People at 10 p.m. Sunday on KAKE-TV. The feature centers on the Enoses River Mill Woods and casket makers. Hatteberg focuses the interview on why the couple builds caskets.

Seventy-six members of the Burkholder family gathered June 30 to July 2 at the Hett farm west of Marion for their eighth biennial hog roast reunion. Five generations numbering 124 descendants of Frank and Rebecca McHenry Burkholders’ 10 children were represented by person, telephone, or letter.

Employees of Dalton Construction of Tampa were busy this week raising walls and constructing a roof for the future convenience and liquor store at Marion Business Park.

Cassie Owens of Lincolnville has been admitted to a physician assistant studies program at Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio. Owens joins the 27-month master’s degree program after finishing an undergraduate course at the University of Kansas.
