Indications are strong that street paving will be started in Marion, Kansas, U.S.A., before very long. The city council is not committed to any particular kind of paving. That matter will of course be thoroughly gone into before any decision is made.
Remmers & Co. will have a car of fine Idaho table potatoes about November 1. These potatoes will sell at 85 cents per bushel at the car.
Supt. Ray’s driving horse which he has had for a number of years died a few days ago.
Automobile Club
The auto men got together last night and organized a club and, to show that they mean business, they got up early this morning and went to work fixing up the bad crossings and rough places in the streets.
There is no membership fee and all who own autos are invited to enroll and help the club in its efforts to secure better streets and roads.
There are now 30 licensed cars in the city, besides a number owned by nearby farmers, so the club should have 50 members in the near future.
