Lights For All Vehicles

It is becoming more and more apparent that vehicles of all kinds should carry lights after dark. Public safety demands universal lighting. The buggy with front and rear lights is much less liable to be run into than the one groping in darkness. There are just as good reasons for having lights on buggies as there are for having them upon motor cars, or for having the streets of a town lighted.

Bananas At A Sacrifice

A carload of nice bananas is on sale at Santa Fe depot Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week at from 75c to $1.00 per bunch. Come get one and tell your friends.

An opening is being made in the partition at Meehan’s garage so the south room can be used for an office and sales room. If “Bob” brings some swell new cars home with him from the Kansas City show, he will have a nice place to put them on display.

The Rock Island is putting sidewalks across the ditch on the west side of the track through Marion. This has been long delayed but is very much appreciated by the people living west of the railroad.

Mr. M.I. Lewis, accompanied by his son, Isaac S. Lewis, came down from Junction City last Saturday. Mr. Lewis formerly lived east of Marion and is well known to many of our people. He is now almost ninety years old and recently lost his wife who was in the eighty-seventh year. He now comes to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Ann Williamson.

A bottle of Towlestop syrup makes any old pancake taste good. Get a can at Riggs Bros.

Prof. Jas. A. Ray and sons and Mrs. Ida Ellis went to District. 91 last Friday night to attend the social and assist with the music on that occasion.
