Josiah Good and J.H. Siebert purchased a couple of beautiful Shetland ponies and buggy this week for their children. The children and many others of the neighborhood are having a great time.

The city schools will open on September 4.

A broom peddler was arrested the latter part of last week for peddling his wares without taking out a license. It is understood that he was repeatedly warned that he would have to pay the license fee fixed at 50c per day—by refused to pay it. He is still in jail.

Will Krueger, who lives three or four miles east of Youngtown, has traded his place for the hotel property at Cedar Point and with his family will move there in a week of so to take charge of the hostel.

Pollitt and Kleinhammer have dissolved partnership, Mr. Kleinhammer having sold his interest to Mr. D.D. Hewitt of Hastings, Nebraska. Mr. Hewitt is a half brother of Mr. Pollitt and lived in Marion a good many years ago.

Lost: On Saturday, August 1, somewhere between Tampa and David Toeves place 7 miles west of Tampa, a pocket book containing a two dollar bill and some small coins, two postage stamp books and a slip with some names on it. Finder will get reward by leaving the lost article at this office for the loser.

The Boy Scouts will meet at Frazer’s Friday evening. Plans for a camping trip will be discussed. There are now about 25 members of the organization. All are urged to be there on time.
