Santa Fe Opening

On Monday afternoon and evening of next week, June 17, a score of Santa Fe officials—the Big Guns—will be here to help Marion celebrate the opening of the handsome new Santa Fe station.

Public Sale

The household goods and other articles of the late E.R. Trenner will be sold at public auction on Saturday at 2 o’clock at the residence, first house east of the hill school building.

Buster Brown and his dog Tige, advertising the Brown Shoe Co., will make one of their displays at H.W. Tiemeier & Sons store in Lincolnville June 17th. Bring in the children to see Tige and Buster.

Big “Bill” Hargiss is here today visiting with old Marion friends—and he has several in Marion. He goes back to Emporia College as coach next year. He is one of the best and most popular coaches in the state.

John Gardner has bought the E.R. Trenner interest in the Hannaford & Trenner Abstract business and he and Ed Hannaford will continue the business.

Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Good’s little boy fell from a swing yesterday evening and one of his arms was broken. The little fellow rested well last night and will doubtless get along all right.

J.D. Saggau and Carl Sheldon have purchase a Hupp touring car and the former has taken the Marion agency for the Hupp.
