There will be seven companies here for Chautauqua—two of them brought here all the way from Europe. They include a band from Italy, a dramatic soprano who has sung with some of the largest symphony orchestras of the world, a violinist of more than national reputation, a novelty musical company from Venice, a family of native New Zealanders, a noted woman lecturer, author, and traveler of the South, a great illusionist, and many others events, including a Junior Chautauqua for the boys and girls. Do not miss it!

Splendid improvements have been made at the Ball Park. The north fence was moved quite a distance to the north to provide place for autos and carriages. Where the fence formerly stood is a wire netting. The seating capacity has also been largely increased.

Howard Siebert, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Siebert, had a painful accident while coasting on the hill the other day. He lost control of his wagon and ran into a telephone post breaking the bones in his instep.

New cement walks have been laid in front of the Bissey and Williams places. Added value is given to this improvement by the fact that this walk will be much used by people going to the Chautauqua grounds by way of the south entrance.
