A.E. Case is doing another fine thing. He is collecting large framed pictures of men who have had a prominent part in the official life of the county and having them hung in the court house. Already twelve or fifteen pictures have been hung and most of them are splendid likenesses and are in excellent frames. With each picture is a brief statement of the man’s official career.

Rev. Nichols of Alma, who has recently accepted a call from the Marion Federated Church—the united Baptist and Presbyterian congregations—will begin his pastorate here next Sunday and will preach at the Baptist church both morning and evening.

Under the present teacher’s certificate law, no one will be entitled to receive a certificate after May 1, who has not had a year of high school training or its equivalent.

Tickets for the Schumann-Heink recital March 16th at Lindsborg will not be placed on sale at various points, as has been the custom in former years. Owing to the heavy demand, this plan is impossible. Parties desiring tickets should therefore write direct to Bethany College, Lindsborg.
