The City Commissioners have passed a formal resolution in favor of the purchase of new engines for the power plant, and wish to assure the people that the matter of the proper engines to buy will be thoroughly gone into and further report made as soon as possible.

Tomorrow’s the Big Day for the school people. The county track meet in the afternoon, with forty participants from the high schools of Marion, Florence, Lost Springs and Burns, and the literary contest in the evening.

Issued marriage licenses include: Wm. E. Rupp, Canada, Jennie M. Crist, Marion; Z.A. Brickell, Bonabeth Gruwell, both Marion; John Schultz, Lehigh, Lena Loewen, Hillsboro.

We deliver grips to or from the depots, or elsewhere in town, for fifteen cents. Other small articles called for and delivered at the same price. Fishburn and Son. Bell Phone 4.

John Gardner, S.W. Williamson and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Forney were in Kansas City last week and while there Mr. Forney purchased a new car—a Chevrolet. They are making the trip home in their car, by way of Manhattan, where they visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Riggs and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Currence. Mr. Gardner and Mr. Williamson, who are agents for the Chevrolet, also brought a car home, making the trip last Sunday.
