The Marion County Common School Graduating Exercises will be held at Marion in the Auditorium Wednesday evening June 9, at 8 p.m. To meet the expense of the Auditorium an admission of 20 cents will be charged to all except graduates.

The Aulne folks who put on “High Life at Saratoga” at the Auditorium yesterday evening made one large hit. We regret that it is impossible to give extended account of the performance. There was a splendid audience, the admissions amounting to $106 which will nearly all go to the Good Road fund.

John Griffiths has a new car—a Ford engine and running gear with body built into a runabout and the machine geared high. He says that the only trouble—being used to driving a heavy car—it to keep it from jumping out from under him.

The new bridge south of town—“dead man’s bridge”—has been finished and will be open to traffic in ten days or two weeks.

Among the June specials in the grocery department of W.W. Loveless & Sons Department Store is fine quality smoked breakfast bacon, lb, 18c; 5 lbs yellow cheese, $1.05; 5 lbs peanut butter, 75c; 5 lbs bulk coffee, 70c; good brooms, 25c each; 3 pkgs grape nuts, 35c; 24 cans of any assortment you want of corn, peas, green cut beans, large tomatoes, pumpkin, kraut or hominy, $2.25.
