Marion folks were mighty sorry to hear this week of the death of Mr. O. Greasart, who came to Marion in 1889 and for over 25 years conducted a little tailoring shop here.

Edward and Edwin Gardner, twins and orphans of the New York society, were at the hospital this week for throat operations. Miss C.M. Anderson, of the same organization, was also a patient there Wednesday.

P.F. Friesen of Hillsboro and H.J. Tiemeier of Lincolnville assisted the Commissioners make the regular checking of the Co. Treasurer’s books last week. Everything found to be in fine shape.

Jensen Bros., who ship stuff all over the country, shipped a carload of poultry to San Francisco last Saturday. You see, the fair has been a great success, but it simply couldn’t be closed without some help from Marion.

About 100 men and boys met together at the “Father and Son” banquet Monday evening which was planned by the local Y.M.C.A.

Mrs. Poundstone’s sister, Mrs. Fey, who was visiting here, sang a solo at the Methodist church Sunday morning. She has a very clear, strong and pleasing soprano voice and her singing was very much enjoyed.

Mr. Hanan’s oil wagon turned over the other day, back of the Auditorium, where he was delivering gasoline, but not much damage was done.
