The Peabody boys beat the Marion boys in the Marion-Peabody relay race last Saturday. The day was clear and bright, and aside from a rather stiff, sharp wind from the south, was ideal for the event. The Peabody average was a mile in 5 minutes, 57 seconds; the Marion average, 7 minutes 13 seconds.

A large number of neighbors and friends gathered at Pilsen Nov. 16 to witness the wedding ceremony of Miss Lella Svitak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Svitak, and Mr. Frank Vinduska, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vinduska.

The O’Bryant orchestra played a number of selections at the Auditorium yesterday evening preceding the program by the Old Glory Quartet. It is a splendid orchestra.

Little Jean Hoch celebrated her third anniversary last Monday afternoon with a party for her little neighborhood friends. Little guests were Freda Greer, Evelyn and Margaret Hauser, Ruth and Margaret Richardson, Madeline and Owen Smith, Catherine Riddle, Mildred Good, Maurice Siebert, Helen Loveless, Baby Thorp, Ford Watson, Wharton Hoch, George Eye, and Maurice and Otis Thompson of Dodge City.

High School Notes

The Geometry II class has decided to have a funeral and bury their text books. They are getting so advanced that Mr. Shuler decided that they were too smart for the book.
