William Jennings Bryan spoke here on Monday, and in spite of unfavorable weather, was greeted by a crowd that practically filled the main floor of the Auditorium. Mr. Bryan was introduced by W.H. Carpenter.

On Saturday evening of last week, Oct. 14, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Pierce, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Lucy Pierce, to Mr. Glenn Kline, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Kline.

Misses Ruby Burkholder and Eva Harrison went over Thursday to spend a few days with Miss Pattie Burkholder at the Will Burkholder home near Peabody. On Sunday, they, in company with Miss Pattie, were entertained at 12 o’clock dinner by Miss Ruth Rood in Peabody, returning to Aulne on No. 36 Sunday evening.

The Stout Motor Co., which handles the Ford business here, has moved to the garage on the corner of Main and First streets, recently vacated by Winkley Bros., and are now prepared to handle repair work as well as sale and supply business.

Misses Alma and Effie Harrison are having cement walks put in in front of and around their home on Nickerson street.

Walter Stiller has purchased the Hill milk business and taken possession of it. He and Mrs. Stiller have moved to the Robbins place. They have arranged a convenient milk house and expect to keep it in a good and sanitary manner.
