The Aulne Home Talent Association will give an entertainment at the Auditorium here Friday evening of this week, for the benefit of the Company M fund. They will give a play, “The Decision of a Justice Court.” Admission, 25 cents.

Miss Esther Wren and her Sunday school class of girls picnicked at the Sugar Mill bridge on Friday evening.

The proprietors of the Palace of Sweets were robbed on Sunday night of about one hundred and seventy-five dollars in cash and thirty or forty dollars in checks. The money was taken from their room upstairs over their place of business about nine o’clock. Evidently, the thieves watched their chance and picked a time when they saw that the men were busy. Mr. Demopoulos says that he knows the identity of one or more of the thieves.

Miss Edna Grimes was driving on Tuesday with her two young nieces when the horse became frightened at the train and she was thrown out sustaining a fracture of the upper and lower jaw, and a number of cuts and bruises. She is a patient at the hospital and is doing nicely. The little girls were not hurt.

Mrs. Bernard Ehrlich gave a lawn party on Friday evening for her sister, Miss Hazel Moore. It was of a patriotic nature, the decorations being of red, white and blue. The entertainment was music and games. A three-course luncheon was served. Mrs. Ehrlich was assisted by Misses Clara Kleinhammer and Eugenia Ehrlich.
