Plans are being completed for the big Farm and Home Festival, an annual affair at Aulne to be held this year on Oct. 10th. The festival will be held at the Fashionable Stock Place just east of Aulne.

The Chamber of Commerce enjoyed a luncheon last Friday noon in the rooms over Rolley Café. Matters of community concern were discussed.

Irvin Ehrlich, son of Mr. and Mrs. D.H. Ehrlich, has gone to Hutchinson to take a course at the Tractor school.

Rural mail carriers are taking turns driving John Dickerson’s route for him, which attests the regard in which they hold him.

He is getting along fine from his injuries. The broken limb was put in splints Tuesday and he says that they brought up a whole wagon load of lumber to do it with.

Wednesday was one of the hottest days of the year here. The government thermometer went to 104. John Siebert lost four cattle from the heat while driving them to the country.

A large number of high school boys are out practicing for football. The material is very promising. Roy Frazer has been secured to coach.
