A subscription paper was passed around last week and a fine amount was subscribed for the burial expenses of Mr. Koepke who was killed in the Auditorium fire last Thursday.

Total contributions were $734.05 with burial expense at $229.79. A check for $500 was sent to the widow and the balance of $4.26 was given to the American Legion.

H.T. Rolley’s new store is open for business at the place formerly occupied by his restaurant. His store will be a department store handling women’s ready-to-wear, notions, dry goods, men’s, women’s and children’s shoes, and men’s notions. Mr. Rolley says he has a complete line of merchandise and expects to merit his share of trade.

The banquet in honor of the football team was held last Friday in the basement of the courthouse. About 85 people attended and an excellent meal served by the ladies of the Christian church. Mr. Poundstone officiated as toastmaster.

The room now occupied b Mrs. McCormac’s millinery store will be remodeled for use as a picture show. Harry Rogers has arranged with the owner of the building for extensive alterations to the room.
