W.D. Rudd, a well known Marion boy and a good plumber, who for the past five years has been in the employ of Pollitt and Kleinhammer, opened an establishment for himself Monday in the room between Scott’s Hardware and Pollitt & Kleinhammer’s. Last Thursday, the bank at Lincolnville was blown open and about $1,800 in cash gotten away with. There were some valuable papers also in the bank but these were not taken. The robbers pried open the side door and worked their way through the side of the vault and blew open the door to the strong box with nitroglycerine.
