Mrs. G.P. Marner and Miss Eulah went to Wichita Thursday evening to see Ben Hur. They were joined at Wichita by Miss Zoe Marner of Newton.

Last Friday evening as Jos. Ondres, who lives 3 miles north of Marion, was caring for his team after dark, one of the horses kicked the lantern over and in the fire that followed, the barn and three horses were burned. One team was saved.

Two fine eight-pound boys were born to Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Hunt Wednesday, Nov. 18. Mother and children are getting along fine.

Last Tuesday, Alva Yost purchased the Palm restaurant which for several months was successfully run by Roberts & Woyame. For some time Alva has been in the grocery department of W.W. Loveless & Sons, and we wish him success in his business venture. The name of the restaurant will be changed from The Palm to the Silver Moon Restaurant, and no effort spared to keep up the good reputation of the place.
