Marion, in common, we reckon, with all other towns using telephones other than the Bill system, is having trouble. The recent decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in favor of the Bell company has rendered all the other companies infringers upon their patent, and the Bell people are busy enforcing their supremacy under the decision, A representative was in Marion last week and served official printed notice upon all users of the phone to cease their use and to turn them over to the Bell folks in 15 days.

The Baptist ladies made a fine success of their ice cream and strawberry sociable last Friday evening.
