We hope the voters of Marion will be wise enough to carry the city building proposition next Monday. It would be very unfortunate for the town if the proposition should fail. Let it have a good big majority. We think we know what we are talking about when we say that Marion has seldom, if ever, had a more important project for ballot decision.

Mrs. Blodgett and daughter have taken rooms at Mrs. Shambaugh’s and invite ladies to call and see their work. Lessons will be given in all style of embroidery.

From the Colorado Springs Gazette we learn that our friend and fellow-citizen, Mr. A. Jacobitz, recently made one of a party of three that climbed Pikes Peak together.

Among those who have demonstrated that grapes can be successfully carried through even three, as unfavorable years as the past three, is Mr. C. O. Hazleton of this city. He brought us some as fine bunches of grapes last week as one could wish to see, and has an abundance just like them.

Mrs. T.J. Smith wishes us to say that she can now attend to business again in the dressmaking line, and that she has a fine line of new hats and other goods. Mrs. Smith has been compelled to neglect business on account of the serious illness of her daughter, but Miss Lizzie is getting better and Mrs. Smith’s establishment will soon resume its old time popularity.
