The Central Kansas Camp-meeting Association will hold its annual camp-meeting in Central Park in the city of Marion, convening August 20 and continuing to August 29. The object of this camp-meeting is the conversion of sinners and the sanctification of believers and it is hoped all will come prepared to work and pray for the accomplishment of these ends.

Mr. John D. Russell of the firm of Perry & Russell, was married Wednesday evening, at the residence of the bride’s parents, to Miss Carrie E. Perry. (This is followed by a list of donors and gifts given to the couple.)

Mr. J.W. Bonney’s team ran away yesterday, dumping him out quite violently, but happily not seriously hurting him.

Ernest, the nine-year-old son of Mr. John Wilcox, was thrown from a horse Monday evening, causing a compound fracture of the left forearm. Dr. Hannaford was called and soon reduced the fracture, and the little fellow is doing nicely. By the way, it may not be out of place here to say that there is now a better surgeon in this part of the State than Dr. Hannaford.

The Peabody Methodists have made arrangements, so we learn from Bro. Morgan, to picnic again in Marion next Thursday. Here’s a warm welcome to them, in advance.

Chingawasa is becoming quite a summer resort, has six different kinds of water, plenty of shade, and entire freedom from chigres.
