From the immense stock of dry goods received at Steiner’s this week, one would judge that a good-sized World’s Fair had come to town. That large room is now full of goods of all lines to be found in a first-class dry goods store. The business is now conducted under the firm name of G.B. Steiner & Bro., with Aaron Steiner as manager.

Charley Whipple has been “fixing up” in and about his brick bakery. Charlie is a deserving young man.

Will Clark, of Clark township, is entitled to the medal. He raised a peach which measured ten and three-quarters in circumference, and he showed us a basket full nearly as large as that. Next.

Our Summit township friend, Orlander Jolliffe, has a heart in him nearly as big as a wagon wheel, which caused him to buy a great big basket of peaches the other day and “set ’em up” to everybody around.

Mrs. L.O. Hildwein and daughter Lola returned Friday from their visit with relatives at Shamrock, Texas.

The way new goods have been piling up in Steiner’s store this week it looks as if Aaron will have to go out on the sidewalk to turn around.

The finder of a child’s green plush cloak, lost between Marion and Wm. Moulton’s farm, one and a half miles north of Marion, last Saturday, will please leave it with that gentleman.
