Probate Judge C.E. Foote was united in marriage last Wednesday to Miss Grace Kuhn. Judge Foote is too well known in Marion county to need an introduction. He is a pleasant gentleman, and has made a model Probate Judge.

The tenth annual encampment of Kansas state soldiers will be held October 6 to 10 at Topeka. This is a reunion of the soldiers and sailors of Kansas, under the auspices of the department of Kansas G.A.R. President Harrison will be there on the 20th. He will receive a great welcome to the sunflower state. There will be cavalry and artillery drills, and dress parades by regular U.S. troops. Tents, wood, straw, water, and lights provided free.

One of the little errors, which make crow’s feet on the average editor’s brow and whiten his head prematurely, tortured us last week. The date of Mrs. Town’s millinery opening was left out of her advertisement, but the opening occurred all the same, and was quite a success. And now we want to make amends as far as possible for our mistake by urging our lady readers, especially those who failed on our account to know of the opening, to call now and examine her elegant stock not only of fine millinery but also of ladies’, misses’, and children’s cloaks.
