West Marion is booming. Fred Frobenius has built a good barn.

G.W. Stanforth has retired again from the management of the Square Hotel. Mrs. Hutchins is the new proprietor.

Ben Carter will open his new furniture store in the Y.M.C.A. building in a few days. He will have a fine lot of furniture.

W.H. Cummings has just finished some work in the Commercial Banking and Trust Company’s rooms. Will is a first class carpenter.

Henry Wight of Antelope, who probably has no superior in the county as a hog raiser shipped two car loads of fine porkers to market last week. Henry always tops the market.

One of the most unique pieces of handiwork we ever saw was a nicely upholstered chair, the framework of which was made of finely polished Texas cattle horns. It was the product of Mr. T.C. Warner’s genius and industry.

A firm of painters, whom the Record has not heretofore introduced to the Marion public, is the firm of Warner & Costello, composed of Mr. T.C. Warner, a comparative newcomer, and Val Costello, a young man who has grown up here.

Mr. Geo. T. Donaldson has moved to Marion with his family from Greensburg and will occupy Mr. E.M. Donaldson’s residence on Lincoln Ave. Mr. Geo. T. comes to assume charge of the cattle department of the Iowa Cattle Company’s extensive interests here.
