Pierce & Allen, the new dealers in feed, flour etc. are rapidly building up a good trade. Go and see them.

During the thunderstorm Monday afternoon, Will Bond, an employee in the Advocate office, was overcome by an electric shock and remained unconscious for some time. The building showed no evidence of being struck and no one else in the room was injured. Paralysis was feared for some time and Will was not able to resume work until yesterday.

Mr. Taylor Riddle’s little boy Don dislocated an arm at the gymnasium Wednesday evening. This is the first accident that has happened there we believe.

There are too few social gatherings like the “raid” made on “Uncle Johnny Riggs” by three score of his descendants and their families. The memory of that event, we doubt not, will long be cherished by every participant, while Mr. Riggs’ heart will throb a little faster every time he thinks about it, which will be often, the rest of his life.

What are we going to do with our peach crop? Somebody should be making arrangements to ship them by the car load. Who will thus favor the raisers and enrich themselves?
