The Methodist ladies cleared over $90 at their Carnival of Nations last week. It was a great success.

Will Brockett has moved into the Record residence neighborhood—into the house recently occupied by Noah Asher.

Kansas has redeemed herself. The election, Tuesday, resulted in great Republican gains and sweeping victories in all parts of the state.

Ed McCready has gone to the Normal to fit himself more thoroughly for teaching. He is already an excellent teacher as well as a fine young man.

C.C. Thayer makes a serious charge against the Record. He says that he has had a young Republican at his house for four weeks and the Record has not said a word about it.

Mrs. R. Ware, of Lincoln, Nebraska, an experienced milliner, and her daughter, Mrs. C.E. Willard, of this city, will open a new stock of goods from Chicago the first of next week, in the room west of the C.V.N. bank, recently vacated by the Doty brothers.

We extend hearty congratulations to our friend Will Cullins, of Catlin township, whose marriage is recorded elsewhere in this week’s issue. Will is a little off in politics, but he is a mighty fine gentleman just the same, and here’s to his health and happiness.
