Mr. John Livoni received a large tank of fine young German carp on Monday, with which he proposes to stock his fish pond.

J.T. Dickerson has been appointed receiver of the Elgin Hotel property by the United States District Court.

Austin & Bozeman have dissolved partnership Mr. Bozeman retiring. M.L. Mansfield will take charge as manager of the mill and flour store.

Bradbury & Robinson have greatly improved the appearance of their place by a new coat of paint. They keep a nice, clean place and are gentlemanly and accommodating to people.

Aaron Steiner who has accepted a position as commercial traveler for the glove house of Ireland Bros. of New York, started on his first trip Sunday evening. Aaron is a jolly, good fellow and will no doubt make a first class drummer.

Charley Locklin expects to start for Colorado about the first of the month. He will spend several months there resting and recuperating his health. Mr. Stanley will take his place a Loveless & Sacket’s during his absence.

If you want to see a beautiful lawn of blue grass, it will pay you to walk around and look at S.W. Bown’s premises. The grass is kept mown short and the lawn thoroughly raked, presenting a beautiful appearance that is a credit to Mr. Bown’s care and also a positive proof that the hydrant water, which is used liberally, is a decided help.
