Seventeen members of 20th Century Club were welcomed by Gayle Thomas into her home on Dec. 5.

Members ate snacks and drank hot apple cider prepared by Thomas and the other hostesses, Jami Mayfield, Belinda Skiles, Becky Summerville, and Diane Sams.

Members brought gifts which were passed around the room in a game. While Mayfield read “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” presents were passed left when the word “left” was said, and right when “right” was said. Members unwrapped the gift they held when Mayfield finished reading the poem.

Hostesses gave each member a notepad and ceramic star made by Paula Barta of Spring Branch Pottery.
