20th Century Club meets

Thirteen members answered roll call by telling historical facts about Marion and Marion County at a 20th Century Club meeting Nov. 7 at Wagon Wheel Café in Marion. Karen Regnier and Macky Taylor were hostesses.

After dinner, Marion Historical Museum Director Peggy Blackman shared historical facts she has discovered in her research. Blackman also was welcomed as a new member.

Members brought food for Marion County Resource Center and Food Bank, and voted to donate three Eye Witness books to Marion City Library, $100 to Community Christmas, $100 to Marion County Resource Center/Food Bank, and $100 to Marion Historical Society.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the home of Gayle Thomas.
