Santa will have a real treat for all the little boys and girls who visit him from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. He will be at his house between Duckwall’s and Sassy Shop and will have a sleighful of oranges and wooden toys to give to his little friends. The wooden toys are made and donated by Art Holmes of Marion.
John Crofoot of Western Associates and Matthew Classen of Marion National Bank have been named to the board of directors of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Dick Cunningham, who lives at Eastshore near Marion Lake, owns D-Signs Foam Co. Cunningham began several months ago making directional signs for department stores from sheets of Styrofoam. He says he has no plans to expand his business to any great dimension — just enough to keep him moderately busy.
The Harvey House Museum, Florence, is on the newly published “hidden places” calendar being distributed by the Kansas Committee for the Humanities.
