City of Marion commissioners closed a deal Monday with Mrs. Tom Hett and her son, Rocky, for the purchase of their property on North Cedar Street. The city will purchase the 16 acres of land and buildings that housed the Hetts’ former John Deere machinery dealership, for a cash price of $112,500 plus 35 acres of city-owned land in the northwest portion of town. Closing date of the sale is Jan. 1, 1987.
