Angela Tajchman announces the engagement of her daughter, Lanell Marie, to Aaron DeLane Hett. The couple will be married May 18 at St. Mark Catholic Church.

Larry Hatteberg, associate news director for KAKE-TV in Wichita, will be guest speaker Feb. 26 for the Marion County Conservation District’s 39th annual meeting.

Six students from Marion County listed on the Dean’s honor roll at Wichita State University for the fall semester include: Gary W. Alexander, Ann M. Waner, and Timothy J. Zerger, Marion; Beverly J. Hague, Peabody; and Leann F. Funk and Karla K. Thomas, Hillsboro.

Five of the 10 local employees at the post office were recognized for not using sick leave in 1984. They were Vigil Clark, Harlow Warneke, Bill Burkholder, Neva Reid, Wilbur Janzen, and Larry Gluts.
