The Old West Partnership, a firm of city planners and grant specialists located at Garden City, was hired Monday to represent the City of Marion in making application for a federal grant to finance establishing an industrial park.

Wilber (Bill) Janzen, a Route 3 rural mail carrier in Marion, retired Friday from the U.S. Postal Service.

Births announced this week are those of Jason Allen Henrickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Les Henrickson of Ellis; Michael Lee Vinduska, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vinduska of rural Marion; Kylie Dawn Hardey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hardey of Marion; and Michael Sean Washburn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcom Washburn of Marion.

Debra Latimer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Enos of Marion, is the artist whose work is on exhibit this month at Farmers and Drovers National Bank.

A First Dollar of Profit plaque was presented to Feebie Holdeman in recognition of her new business venture, Feebieā€™s Footwear.
