City of Marion commissioners learned Monday afternoon that there would be considerable disruption of the traffic flow on downtown streets during the sewer improvement project, with construction starting Monday.

Fawn Keith, Kelley Enos, and Chantal Nienstedt are Marion High School candidates for the Tri-County Junior Miss Pageant this weekend at Herington Elementary school.

Ernest Hett will be featured on the Kaleidoscope program at noon March 28 on KAKE-TV. He is widely known for his art, and his work attracts hundreds of visitors to his Copper Shed south of Marion.

The March 15 issue of Kansas Business News published an article about Marion, and how John and Marian Crofoot’s “Western Associates” firm has profited from moving here.

Eight Marion High School students participated March 11 in a business skills contest hosted by Bethel College, Newton. The students were Patty Carroll, Jacquie Cusick, Carol Laue, Stephanie Summerville, Mike Stewart, Sue Webb, Robin Wineinger, and Stephanie Williams.
