The American Red Cross Bloodmobile came to Marion Wednesday and pins were awarded to the following donors: Jim Fruechting, five-gallon pin; Juanita Stovall, Marilyn Lalouette, and Florence Ehrlich, two gallons each; and John Jordan, Karen Konarik, Margie Kerns, and Cheryl Hartley, one gallon each.

Many are experiencing the frustrating problem of elm leaf beetles appearing in the home. The adult beetles have over-wintered in the homes and are now wanting to migrate to elm trees.

Mary Ann’s School of Dance will present its 18th annual “Starts of Tomorrow” revue Friday and Saturday night at Marion Municipal Auditorium.

Marion Manor residents were happy Monday when children from Mary Ann Wien’s pre-school provided entertainment. Children who performed were Eric and Christy Jensen, David Darrow, T.J. Ash, Kayla Kremeier. Scott Hannaford, Carrie Darrow, Clark Wildin, Shawn Craft, Amber Moore, and Sarah Crofoot.

Mark Jirak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Jirak of Tampa, has been named “outstanding senior in horticulture” at Kansas State University. The honor was announced at the annual Ag-Awards Assembly.
