Cub Scout Pack 102 held its annual Pinewood Derby Monday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church. Winners were David Darrow, first; Josh Wildin, second; and T.J. Ash, third. Judge’s favorite design went to Cole Freeman.

Brendan Kraus and instructor Gail Seaman are pictured in Western gear as Marion Elementary School participated in the Kansas School Lunch Week’s theme of “Discover Kansas Stars.” Famous Kansans were honored at lunchtime during the week.

Robyn Renee Brooks and Donald Lee Molleker were married Dec. 23 in a candlelight ceremony at Valley United Methodist Church.

Carol Coirier, a certified physician’s assistant, will leave St. Luke Medical Clinic Feb. 17. She plans to work for Clay Center Family Physicians.

William Teufel has been selected by Marion High School faculty as “Student of the Month” for January. He is the son of Marvin and Maggie Teufel of Florence.

Three Warriors earned all-tournament team honors at Burrton this past week. They were Kelly Linnens, 6’3” senior; Bill Davis, 6’5” junior’ and Mike Helmer, 5’9” junior. The Warriors went 2-1 at the tournament with a third place win. Brett Sprowls earned second-place in the free-throw competition at the tournament.
