Marion city commissioners discussed the possibility of hiring a city development coordinator, but want more facts before any decision is made.

Martin and Sue Eddy, owners of Heartland Mixes of Marion, are pictured receiving their first dollar of clear profit from Marion Chamber of Commerce ambassadors.

Negotiations are underway to finalize the sale of the Town and Country Café in Florence to John and Karen Kline of Marion. The restaurant, a longtime favorite among truckers, travelers, and area residents, was operated for 30 years by Edith White. It closed Oct. 1. The Klines hope to re-open the café by Feb. 1.
