Attorney General Bob Stephans spoke about consumer fraud to a full house Thursday at Marion Senior Center. His friendly banter included picking folks out of the audience for brief comments. He also purchased an elegant handmade pillow from the women at the concessions stand.

Marion Elementary students Chris Hanson, Ethan Good, and Eric Byer have been selected to participate in the Hutchinson Cosmosphere Space Camp this summer.

A wedding reception was held at the VFW Jan. 6 in celebration of the marriage of Nathan and Carol Smith.

The first birthdays of Travis Bruce Hett and Matthew Ryan Kirkpatrick are reported separately as being celebrated with family parties at the homes of their parents. Aaron and Lanell Hett are of Travis’ parents. Matthew’s parents are Duane and Lori Kirkpatrick.

Rachel Janzen and Elly Barta-Moran of Marion and Toni Saenz of Peabody served as pages for Rep. Duane Goossen Jan. 30 in the Kansas House of Representatives.
